Imbibed by this sprit and being aware of their obligations to society, some devoted citizens of Kanpur coming from various walks of life, led by humble and saintly Dr. R. P Mudwel with his friend Mr. M.M. Pandey an educationist and renowned personality of Kanpur founded Prabhat Sr. Sec. Public School in 1983 for the upliftment of blooming buds of future with English medium education. As secretary Mr. J. P. Singh has followed Mr. M. M. Pandey and continued for the values and growth of the establishment. Presently Mr. Pradeep Srivastava, an advocate, is devoting himself in carrying forward the development of the motto for the upliftment of the institution by providing encouragement and provocation to the staff for better performances and upliftment of the taughts.
Starting with 2 classes, Nursery and K.G. the school has risen to a full fledged 10+2 standard, recognized by the Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi. The School now having an imposing double building, away from the hub-hub of the metropolis, is run by a Registered Society, popularly known as Prabhat Memorial Education Society, Kanpur.
The School provides all the facilities for an all round growth and development of the child with play media, craft, nature-study, development, personal pursuit and provides all audio-visual aids for these programming.
The Nursery wing of the school is being looked after under the guidance of well trained staff with the aid of latest technologies.
Caste or creed has no importance in admission to the school and the principal has full autonomy in admission within the rules framed by the management. The school is run absolutely on non-commercial basis.
